The Como Melbourne – Mgallery is a boutique hotel in the fashionable district of South Yarra. About a 30 minute drive from Melbourne International Airport, this is a great location from which to begin exploring the cosmopolitan city of Melbourne. Originally the site of a cattle run in 1847, the Como opened in 1989.
Inside the rooms and penthouses, you’ll find the Como has adopted a minimalist design. They make fabulous use of clean lines in white, grey and black. Then, they’ll embolden a bed with a pair of golden yellow pillows. The long stay apartments adopt a similar look, ensuring a consistency of design.
If you need to organise a work event, The Como has a spectrum of meeting and event facilities. Once you’ve escaped, you can relax in the sauna or perhaps the rooftop pool. If you’re eating in, you can have breakfast in the brasserie, there’s a bar serving cocktails and delicious desserts, or you can enjoy 24 hour in room dining.
But this being South Yarra, you’re surrounded by restaurants and bars. Before you enjoy food, the National Gallery of Victoria is a 10 minute drive away, just past the Botanical Gardens. Or if you really want to take it easy, the beaches of St Kilda are also just a 10 minute drive.
